Dinner with live jazz in Madrid
One night a month, the upstairs room at Harold’s becomes a jazz club from the French Quarter of New Orleans: a band a metre from the audience, Southern cooking on the table and room for very few people.
A jazz club inside a restaurant, not a restaurant with music
Madrid has places with good food and places with good jazz. Harold’s is the only one where both happen at once, in the same room: real Creole cooking and live jazz in a single evening.
The upstairs room is small, and that changes everything. There is no raised stage and no distance: the band plays in the same room where you are having dinner, with the lights low, William Morris wallpaper on the walls and the Budweiser neon on. You can see and hear well from every table because no table is far away.
Which is exactly why capacity is what it is. Tickets go fast and the date goes out by email first to subscribers. It is the fairest way we have found to share them out.
What happens on a jazz night

The room is such a faithful recreation that it has been used as a shooting location for jazz band music videos.

One night a month. There is no fixed date — it depends on the band we programme, which is why we announce it in advance to people subscribed to our alerts.
How many people fit?
Few, and that is part of the point. The upstairs room has a small capacity, so the audience sits a metre from the musicians and you can see and hear well from anywhere. It also means tickets go fast.
Does the ticket include dinner?
Jazz nights work as a complete evening: concert and Southern dinner. The specific terms for each date (price, timing and what is included) are set out in the email alert we send.
